Meet Kimberly Graham - Northern Wyoming RN/Case Manager
Hospice is about serving others, providing quality end-of-life care, and giving the patient and their families the ability to receive the care and support they deserve. We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our compassionate and resilient staff; we'd like to introduce you to one of our fantastic team.
Kimberly Graham has gone above and beyond for our patients, community, and hospice in general. We recently "interviewed" Kimberly to gain insight into her life and passion as an RN/Case Manager in Northern Wyoming.
Stillwater Hospice: What's the most inspiring part of your job?
Kimberly: Spending time with my patients, learning about who they are and who they were. Knowing it's not all about vital signs and assessments. It's amazing what you learn when you listen. In doing so, you can assess as you go.
Stillwater Hospice: What would you be if you weren't so dang good at your current job?
Kimberly: Lost. This is my calling; I can't do anything or be anybody else. God has opened doors to lead me down this path. No words can begin to describe my love for what I am doing.
Stillwater Hospice: What is the most important thing you learned while growing up?
Kimberly: Respect others, especially those older than or above you in status/authority. Be polite and open the door for someone. Saying please and thank you.
Stillwater Hospice: What would your superpower be if you were a superhero?
Kimberly: Travel fast like a twitch of my nose or a blink of my eyes. Living in Wyoming, I often would give anything to see my nieces and nephew, my little sister, and so on. But, being away in Wyoming and the family in Montana, an easy twitch of the nose or blink and I could visit more often.
Stillwater Hospice: When you were five years old, what did you think your profession would be?
Kimberly: Veterinarian. My love for animals runs deep.
"Be true to yourself. Believe in yourself. Have faith that God will show you the way."
Stillwater Hospice: You love animals; does that mean you have pets?
Kimberly: Yes, I have fur babies! I have a great Pyrenees, Apollo, and a Sarplaniac, Griz. I have five indoor and outdoor kitties; they make for great mousers. Caspian and Bella are both Maincoons; Shadow, Booboo, and Buttercup are domestic cats that were ill or needed lots of TLC.
Stillwater Hospice: What is your favorite word in the English language?
Kimberly: Faith.
Stillwater Hospice: What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?
Kimberly: This company is all about teamwork, and they care about their staff. My favorite thing is they believe that a happy team leads to excellent patient care.
Stillwater Hospice: What else would you like us to know?
Kimberly: I also love to do photography of any kind but do more scenery and wildlife photos. I love to draw and do other arts and crafts. My husband and I love to camp, fish, and hike.
Thank you, Kimberly, for your hard work and dedication to hospice; our patients and families appreciate your services. Keep up the hard work and positive attitude!
