Meet Amy Gorman Hartl - Western South Dakota RN/Community Relations Representative
Hospice is about helping others, delivering quality end-of-life care, and providing the patient and their families the ability to receive the care and support they deserve. We value the hard work and loyalty of our compassionate and resilient staff; we'd like to introduce you to one of our fantastic team.
Amy Gorman Hartl has gone above and beyond for our patients, community, and hospice. We recently interviewed Amy to gain insight into her life and passion as an RN/Community Resource Representative in Western South Dakota.
Stillwater Hospice: What year did you start with Stillwater Hospice?
Amy: 2021
Stillwater Hospice: What would you be if you weren't so dang good at your current job?
Amy: Interior Decorator.
Stillwater Hospice: What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Amy: To love people like they are family.
Stillwater Hospice: What would your superpower be if you were a superhero?
Amy: To never require sleep.
Stillwater Hospice: When you were five years old, what did you think your profession would be?
Amy: I knew I wanted to be a nurse, as my mom and aunt were.
Stillwater Hospice: Cats or dogs; do you have any?
Amy: Yes, I have two cats; Karen and Lucy, and three dogs; Cooper, Crosby, and Molly.
Stillwater Hospice: What is your favorite word in the English language?
Amy: Joy, which is also my middle name.
Stillwater Hospice: What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?
Amy: Take the leap! Stillwater is an amazing organization!
Stillwater Hospice: What's the most inspiring part of your job?
Amy: Educating people on what hospice is and does and how it can benefit a loved one.
Stillwater Hospice: What is the most important thing you learned before high school?
Amy: A strong work ethic.
Stillwater Hospice: What else would you like us to know?
Amy: I am a huge Denver Broncos fan (I know...it's a tough year).
