Family and caregivers you are not alone.

What You Need to Know

If you are a spouse, family member, or caregiver of a person with a life-ending condition, we want you to know you are not alone. Stillwater Hospice is here to assist and support you and the one you’re caring for every step of the way.

Electing hospice care for someone you love empowers them—and you—to receive support from a team of specialists. Our goal is to help our patients make the most of the time they have left. It also allows families and caregivers to return to the role of the spouse, child, or friend of the person to whom you are providing care.

Let us help you learn what to expect as you or a loved one nears the end of life, from how to understand symptoms or look into the care Stillwater Hospice provides and who pays for hospice; we have the answers.

Caring For Yourself

Being a caregiver can be challenging physically and emotionally. Therefore, you must ask for help and find ways to care for yourself for your well-being.

By accepting the assistance of our professional hospice team, you can reduce your stress while ensuring the needs of your spouse, parent, or family member are being met. In addition, we encourage you to talk with us about counseling that may be available and bereavement services that can assist you in preparing for life after hospice.

"As a family, we want to thank you so much for helping us care for our mother the last two days. We were so grateful to get her home and you made that possible. The nurses were so kind on admission and they were able to help get mom's pain under control.

Even when mom passed, the nurse was beyond caring and kind when she came to the house after mom passed. Thank you!"
