Meet Paige Flock - Northern Wyoming HHA/CNA

Hospice is about assisting others, providing quality end-of-life care, and preparing patients and their families to accept the care and support they deserve. We value the demanding work and dedication of our compassionate and resilient staff; we'd like to introduce you to one of our incredible team. 

Paige Flock consistently exceeds the expectations of our patients, families, community, and hospice. We recently interviewed Paige to gain insight into her life and passion as an HHA/CNA in Northern Wyoming. 

Stillwater Hospice: What year did you start with Stillwater Hospice?

Paige: 2021.

Stillwater Hospice: What would you be if you weren't so dang good at your current job?

Paige: A nurse or CNA in pediatrics.

Stillwater Hospice: What is the best advice you have ever been given? 

Paige: You can't pour from an empty cup. Make sure you are taking care of yourself physically and mentally, so you are able to show up as your best self and provide the best care to your patients. 

Stillwater Hospice: What would your superpower be if you were a superhero? 

Paige: To teleport wherever I want to go at a snap of a finger.

Stillwater Hospice: When you were five years old, what did you think your profession would be? 

Paige: At 5, I was still going to be a princess, but when reality set in, I always wanted to be a veterinarian.

Stillwater Hospice: Cats or dogs; do you have any? 

Paige: I have two adorable cats Duke and Pumpkin.

Stillwater Hospice: What is your favorite word in the English language? 

Paige: Empathy. 

Stillwater Hospice: What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?

Paige: I advise anyone wanting to join the Stillwater team to take the leap of faith and do it. Do not let fear take the reigns. It is truly an amazing company to work for, and they really care about their staff. Working in hospice seems daunting, but it is one of the best industries to be a part of, and I find joy in my job every day.

Stillwater Hospice: What's the most inspiring part of your job?

Paige: I am inspired every day by the strength I witness from my patients, their families & my fellow healthcare workers.

Stillwater Hospice: What is the most important thing I learned as a child was... 

Paige: To always be kind, you never know a person's full story, so a little kindness may go a long way
