We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Amy, delving into her journey as a Stillwater Hospice team member and beyond. Stillwater Hospice: What is your position with the company?
Amy: RN Case Manager.
Stillwater Hospice: What year did you start?
Amy: 2021
Stillwater Hospice: What is the best advice you've ever been given?
Amy: Take more pictures. This was from a time before we all had phones with cameras at our disposal, but it still rings true. I have so many missing gaps of time and memories that I wish I had captured in photos when I had the chance.
Stillwater Hospice: What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?
Amy: Go for it! Change can be hard but so worth it.
Stillwater Hospice: What else would you be doing if you weren't so good at your job?
Amy: Working in a forensics lab solving crime.
Stillwater Hospice: Cats or dogs? Do you have any?
Amy: Dogs, for sure. I have a dog Bailee who is currently being extra loved in my daughter's home.
Stillwater Hospice: What is your favorite word in the English language?
Amy: Coffee
Stillwater Hospice: What's the most inspiring part of your job?
Amy: Watching my patients handle the most challenging obstacles with the most amazing perspective and dignity. We could all learn a thing or two by spending some time with someone facing a life-limiting illness.
Stillwater Hospice: What is the most important thing you learned as a child?
Amy: Take pride in your work and treat others like you want to be treated. I know you asked for one, but I had some pretty amazing parents that instilled some invaluable life lessons!
Stillwater Hospice: What would your superpower be if you were a superhero?
Amy: To be invisible.
Stillwater Hospice: When you were five years old, what did you think your profession would be?
Amy: Teacher
